The Word

'The Word' is one of the most important aspects of this website. We believe the people of Britain should be aware of as much information as possible about the European Union (EU) so as to be in a position to take an educated view on it. Part of that awareness process is to have speakers, armed with accurate, informative scripts addressing meetings and gatherings.

The Message.

thEUnit is designing scripts and presentations on the following topics:-

• Britain and the EU - the history of Britain's membership of the EU.
  
  
  
• Corpus Juris - the EU system of Criminal Justice.
  
  
  
• The Single Currency - the euro and the eurozone crisis.
  
  
  
• No borders - immigration.
  
  
  
• EU membership - the cost.
  
  
  
• EU membership - what's next.

The Audience.

thEUnit is already contacting the many groups/associations/gatherings in the South West as well as Westcountry universities, colleges and schools. thEUnit is keeping a register of speaking dates and locations.

The following are just some of the groups and gatherings that are being contacted:-

Round Table, U3A, Probus, Rotary, Women's Institute, Pensioner's associations etc. Please tell us of any others.

The Speakers.

It is intended to have at least six speakers available to address the South West engagements that are being arranged. Already a number of volunteers have applied to be considered. thEUnit will provide an assessment/training day for all south West speakers.

If you know of any group or association or the name and contact details of a chairman, secretary or member of a group etc, please tell The Word. We will follow up all possible contacts and try to arrange meetings.
